Aiming to diversify and expand our scope by investing in new businesses Turkey’s first and only asphaltite-fuelled power plant, Silopi Elektrik, joined our portfolio of investee companies in 2015. We contributed to the thermal plant 9.6% in equity amidst its investment program increasing its installed capacity to 405 MWe. Located in Şırnak’s Silopi district in southeast Turkey, the power plant today creates jobs for 2,000 direct and indirect personnel.
